Captian America has been assassinated, in the Marvel Comics Universe!

I stopped reading a few years back, but wow, that's big.

Yeah, the Civil War series just ended. It wasn't actually fair, as the only reason Captain America's side lost is because they acted as true heroes, and stopped fighting after seeing all the damage that was caused. They were then arrested by Iron Man's side. I knew someone had to die, but I was expecting someone important, but not AS important. Well that just plain sucks.

One more reason why Marvel dosen't get my money....I will admit that I'm looking forward to World War Hulk so he can come back and smash everyone.

Maybe U.S. Agent will skip out on his team and come back. Either that, or Winter Soldier takes the bull by the horns.

Sadly. I guess it's up to Winter Soldier...
...or maybe Magneto. You know...that guy that SHIELD put very little effort into finding after their helicopter blew up and left him stranded. How nice of the entire Marvel universe to leave him for dead. Good thing the Illuminati has the Infinity Gauntlet, because with Hulk coming back, and the potential of an enraged Magneto, I'm sure they're going to need all the help they can get.

Hey guys! I love this thread, but it's more of an off topic thing that general discussion.

Anyway, I'm as upset about the killing of Steve Rogers as I was with the resurrection of Bucky.  My thoughts were, "Is nothing sacred anymore".  The simple answer is no, it's not.  Other characters have been Captain America, I never freaked, and this isn't the first time Steve has been "dead".  Sure my gut reaction was strong, but then I read this article and I was reminded of what industry I'm dealing with.  Captain America will be someone else for a while, maybe even years, but eventually Steve Rogers will live again (or will have never really died).  We'll have our character back boys, I guarantee it.

The sad thing is that I kind of want to see them keep Steve Rogers dead. I hate seeing major comebacks from death. That's why Frank Miller is head-and-shoulders above most writers. He basically played God with Elektra. He created the character, and then killed her off for good. Sure, there have been spinoff comics, but they're all non-canon. Elektra is dead as dead can be. I think that's the way it should be. Steve Rogers needs to stay dead (as does Red Skull...which brings up all sorts of rants I won't get into).

The other sad thing is that I'm up this early. If Miyamoto wasn't giving a keynote speech at the Game Developers Conference, I wouldn't even be up until 1:30PM.

Yes, I apologize for my emotional reaction earlier. Afterall we all know what became of a certain man of steel who "died". There's mostly dead, all dead and comic book dead..
