Sorry Jotham I guess I got yours and StrongBad's quotes mixed up.

Yes, I apologize for my emotional reaction earlier. Afterall we all know what became of a certain man of steel who "died". There's mostly dead, all dead and comic book dead..

Very few will know this one (Jotham excepted) but I would LOVE to see Alan Dean Foster's Spellsinger series brought to film, and perhaps a few of RA Salvatore's works as well...
Last but certainly not least the Ellenium by David Eddings!

Hey man you can try to dodge it but as my video game wingman you weren't there dude.  I was Goose  that day and flying without my wingman I was tragically shot down!  You weren't there Maverick!  As I recall it took six months to fully recover from that particular injury.  It's an emotional scar that I will carry with me for the rest of my days.  But go ahead, share the story with the world. Make me out to be some kind of a whiner.  Anyone who has felt the bitter sting of tendonitis knows the pain I endured, but can they ever truly understand the emotional pain... Cry
Pardom me all, I must go and sit in a dark smokey room to contemplate life's knocks...*cue sad piano music*

Hey don't underestimate Linderman. Remember he killed Kirk for heaven's sake!
23  Other / Website Discussion / Heroes TV has absorbed my soul... on: 03/08/07, 04:08:38 AM
So I must confess that I am now spending what little time I have alotted for sleep to this wicked little forum. I blame Jotham and Strong Bad for their evil influence. I must now finally go throw my head at a pillow for a few hours before shuffling off in a sleep deprived daze to my job. So until someone pays me to post here I guess I'll just continue trading sleep for my time here with you my fellow Heroes fanatics. Cool

It occured to me last night that I completely left out Ando! He may be the coolest hero of all after his moment in the "Parasite" episode this week!  He has evolved into a true hero.

Where do you get this dinosaur talk man?! They can't take away my Sorkin fix!  At least I'll always have 2 and 1/2 men...wait that didn't sound right. I mean I'm a straight, married dude with kids...not that there's anything wrong with that... Wink

Ahem, excuse me...BUT DID SOMEONE SAY THAT MARVEL HAS ASSASSINATED CAPTAIN AMERICA??!! OH MAN! THAT IS FREAKIN' IT!! I HAD ALREADY STOPPED BUYING COMICS FOR A WHILE BUT MARVEL CAN TOTALLY KISS MY STAR SPANGLED BUT GOODBYE!! Sorry. I'm sure that Jotham can vouch for my status as a rather hugh Cap fan. Cry
27  General / General Discussion / Re: Hate the wait! on: 03/08/07, 03:46:58 AM
I have to say that the waiting thing is not cool! Angry  It hurts a show that maintains as high a level of energy and suspense as this one does to suddenly take an extended break.  I get the whole letting production catch up thing but I also understand the way a show like 24 does it.  They do start their season a good deal later then the rest of the world, but once they start the action runs non-stop every week without a break or repeat until the season is over and the fans can all collapse breathless on the floor.  That is exactly what I think Heroes needs to do.
28  Other / Off Topic / Re: How Old Are You? on: 03/08/07, 03:38:31 AM
Well you've got me Alanon, but not by much. We can be old together the way Rudolph and Hermes were independent together (hey we were around when that show was brand new). I will be 46 this June 2nd. Cheesy

I guess I can't deny my love for video games after Jotham "outed" me in my greeting.  I have just about every “old school” system which I guess now must include my XBOX and Game Cube. I’ve played the 360 (Gears of War—Awesome! Shocked) and the Wii, but I refuse to shell out the big bucks for a next gen system until I’ve finished all of the games I have for the XBOX and Cube. I do spend quite a bit of time with my DS.  Mostly playing Burnout Legends lately.  As to my favorite games I love action, RPG, platformers, strategy, puzzle…just about anything but sports and FPS (they give the motion sickness Tongue). I do recall spending quite a few hours playing the classic Tomb Raider games with Jotham…good times, good times. Now I greatly enjoy the Prince of Persia series, James Bond Everything or Nothing, Gladius, KOTOR, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, X-Men Legends I & II, Incredible Hulk Ultimate Destruction, Beyond Good and Evil, and oh yeah Wakeboarding Unleashed to name a few.
Sorry CCRET but can’t jam with you on the 360 live thing yet. Got to finish up with the fun I still have before me.  Sad
30  Other / Movie Discussion / Re: The Simpsons Movie on: 03/08/07, 03:18:21 AM
I'm a long time Simpson's fan. I can remember waaaaay back when they were crudely animated shorts between commercials on the Tracey Ulman show. But like Jotham I have also kind of fallen away from the show in years past. I want to like the movie. The show can still make me laugh but I haven't watched a first run episode in a couple of years so I'm not too sure that I'll be shelling out my hard earned cash for a visit to the theater for this one.
