- Holy retcon Batman! Someone explain how Sylar survived. It wouldn't take much, just say her perfected the healing ability. Or maybe the blade didn't go deep enough. Or maybe Sylar was truly motivated for once in his life, and summoned the adrenaline and strength to pick himself up. Just give us an explanation.

my guess is Sylar relized that as a shapeshifter he could reaarange that weakness of his. I mean with his innate understandiing of how things work he could rearrainge his body and mind to have the weakness somewhere else...or my personal fav idea have made a back up, so you nee to hit two spots to stop him...

in the 1st episode of the 3rd season, when Sylar "killed" Claire, he said that Claire can't die at all. Like Adam. Then he said that after taking Claire's ability, he probably can't die either.
I assumed that they can't die at all, no matter what. Even if they would be shot or hit or whatever in the back of the head, they would live. That's why Hiro buried Adam instead of hitting his head with something.
So my guess is that their power has just developed enough for absolute immortality.
But it's just a guess, after all.
