I believe it will be Nathan. When Sylar asked his father what he would have done if he could go back, Samson replied that he would have gotten into a position of power where he could have really changed the world. With that said, I think Sylar has been contemplating on this and that is why he is working with Danko right now. Now that he can shape-shift, I think he's planning on killing Nathan and taking his face to run for president. Just a theory but Nathan's been around since season one, and since I've read that someone was supposed to die I've been asking myself why and who does Sylar have the most to gain if he killed them.
Totally in agreeance. I believe that we are working towards a "Five Years Gone" future with the show, but there are still things that are supposed to happen, such as Nathan dying and Sylar 'being' Nathan. Also, instead of having Candice's power, Sylar now has the shape-shifting power, he could, in theory, recreate "Five Years Gone".

Who else could it be than Nathan? Peter? No. C'mon, he's like the arch nemesis (was that arch thing right? ) of Sylar, and they're just gonna have this huge showdown in the very last ep of the whole series (that's what i hope Angela, Ando? Why? There's simply no point or idea there. As far as we know now... Claire? Sylar said it himself, Claire can't die. Hiro? THAT'S NOT AN OPTION! Micah? Well, only if Danko and Sylar find out who the Rebel truly is, but Micah's not really "major charter", right? After all, we didn't see him at all in the third season. Besides, he's underage Mohinder? i would love to see that happen But no, doubtful. But if it really is Nathan... I don't like him that much, but it could be weird to see him leave. Hopefully Peter would revenge his death

Although Nathan seems to be at the top of everyone's list, I must point out one thing. There's no reason to. Even if for some reason the writers decide to have Sylar kill Nathan, there's really no point to it. Sure, he'll be able to fly, but that's not much of a reason. It's not practical for Sylar to pretend to be Nathan, and even if he wanted to he could. It's not like Nathan is going to be around D.C.
Also, do we REALLY know that the government knows about Nathan? I don't recall every hearing Danko say he contacted the president. Furthermore, we all know that camera was off. Perhaps Danko is calling the shots and the president is none-the-wiser. Sure, it's a stretch, but with Sylar now being able to shape shift, Danko could be sending him off as Nathan whenever he's supposed to meet with the president.
