Haven't been here in a long while but popped in after watching tonight's episode.

...Seriously, Heroes never ceases to disappoint (with the exception of parts of Season 2...) and definitely did not disappoint especially with tonight's huge cliffhanger. A few questions to ponder until next week:

1. What was Matt injected with?
2. Can Nathan help Matt in time? (they will most likely survive, but the question is how?)
3. What will the consequences of Nathan helping Matt with the bomb vest be?
4. If Sylar finds his father, what will be the big surprise? Will Sylar finally meet his match if things go violent?

I wonder these, too. But here are my two questions.

1. What did Angela whisper to Nathan?
and...
2. Why did IMDB.com list Micah and Monica for this epi and they were no where to be seen? We all can pretty much guess that he's REBEL....so wth?

You mean Angela might get something right? I kid, I kid. I want to know what she said too. Perhaps she told Nathan what happens if he does what she envisioned. Maybe this whole red wire/black wire scenario isn't as innocent as it seems. Basically, Nathan knows one of the definite outcomes, and he has to decided if it's right or not.

I'm kind of glad they had Sylar remember what exactly happened. Now, instead of the typical 'ask 20 questions about stuff that's probably irrelevant now,' Sylar knows what happened, and we're heading towards a big showdown. I liken this the now-dead (I hate saying that) series, Carnivale. Season two unraveled many of the mysteries before the last couple episodes, leaving the show with a battle of epic proportions. I hope this is really where the Sylar arc is going.

Also, while we're all convinced (myself included) that Micah is REBEL, I'd like it to be Sandra. She's not only knows a lot more than she's been letting on, but she's normal. She's just the normal housewife who knows very little of what's going on (in the minds of the government). Plus Sandra just so happens to want to stay in Claire's room while crazy Eric awaits in the kitchen?

I quite enjoyed this episode, after being disappointed by the last few.  Apparently this is where the season starts picking up, as the original season 1 producer rejoins the crew [link to article].

Some quick thoughts:

Clare and aquaboy's cutesy interaction was cheesy, but not unbearable.  Keep forgetting Claire's seventeen! Tongue

Was that agent lady new?  She was kinda cute. Grin

I'm liking Claire's Mom, she has grown into an interesting character.

I guess we're all assuming Rebel is Micah.  I really hope they can fit him in AND that his acting has developed.  Grin

Although it seemed way too easy for Matt and Peter to break into the building, it had it's cool and funny moments.  I laughed at the "I love doing that" by Peter!  Cheesy

Looks like another turn from Nathan?  He's so conflicted.  I too wonder what Mom Petrelli said.

I feel the Sylar storyline is really dragging.  It seems interesting, but I'd rather see him interacting with the Heroes instead of some emo kid.

And... the ending sure caught me by surprise! Shocked

Nice to have the forum back.
To be honest I thought that HRG was the rebel. No, really, he has his reasons, he might think its the only way to save Claire, as soon as she doesn't want to stay down, and he was the only one that knew everything that the rebel told everyone. Now that we have the puppet guy, HRG would never want to save him.
It could be Micah, but lets face it, Micah is just a kid who can hack the computers, he was not a strategist the last time we saw him. Someone could be using Micah.
I think that at this point anyone could be a rebel, we might be talking about a whole new character. It also could be a humble analyst from the building 26 Smiley

That 'new' girl is in fact Rachel Mills.....

I think that Nathan will pull a "How to Stop an Exploding Man" on us again....(Can't he just die....)

Sandra has always been comical and sweetly enduring. I always liked her! Smiley

Love the music on the Sylar parts. I was singing along! (Heroes the sing-along)

I can honestly say that this is the first episode since they returned from hiatus that I actually liked. I haven't really cared for the direction that the show's taken so far. But now it's starting to get interesting.

Yeah I could do without the Aqua-Boy love connection thing, but it wasn't nearly as annoying as Claire's relationship with West.

I think it's interesting that the Hunter (whatever his name is) used Matt's painting as his inspiration. So far his paintings are more like self fulfilling prophesies. Daphne got shot because she was standing there next to him, which she might not have been if he hadn't drawn that picture of her getting shot there.

Maybe he should just stop painting.... Undecided

As for the Sylar bits, his Father killed his Mother by splitting her head open. Although that isn't Sylar's primary power, it seems like it's way too much of a coincidence that that's how he kills people. Maybe deep down he remembered it and has been unconsciously emulating it.

I'm kind of expecting that Sylar's Dad will turn out to have multiple powers as well.

And even though I was initially angry over Peter's ability changing, he's actually getting more interesting now that he has to think. He's way more successful using Nathan's power than Nathan has ever been.

Though I think that he should have held on to Matt's power a little longer. Flying comes in handy, but mind control would be way more useful....

Another very decent episode. Advanced the plot, got rid of Alex, got Matt into a bunch of trouble, and brought back Eric Doyle. I just was unimpressed with the Sylar interlude. But I'm getting ahead of myself...

Hilarious: "What's under the bed, Mr. Muggles? What's under there?" *Mr. Muggles emerges with Alex's sandwich in his mouth* "What is going on with you, Claire?" Had me rolling with laughter... I really loved the look between Sandra and Claire. Poor Sandra, though... everyone in her family lies to her. Major points go to her for the plan and the shrewd manipulation of her daughter in order to be let in on the action, and then continuing to be badass with the agents outside.

Rebel's back, and extremely chatty this week. At least now we know it's not Peter. So who are we dealing with? Wireless? Micah? Angela Petrelli? New character? I like it the idea so far. Let's see where this thing goes.

Funny exchange as Sylar telekinesises Luke's face against the car window: "You should've worn your seat belt." "Dude, you're hurting me!" I was worried that this tenuous partnership was going to get silly, or stale, or worse--ridiculous to the point of Maya. But it seems to be holding its own here. The partnership, that is... I didn't like the scene in the diner quite as much. The actors did well with what they were given, under the circumstances, but I didn't think the diner interlude was very good at all. Seemed kind of a forced way to show the audience that Gabriel's dad was a murderer with a similar ability, and that Kid!Gabriel saw his father kill his mother. And speaking of Kid!Gabriel, how cute was he?

Matt and Peter's raid on Nathan's facility was pretty cool, I gotta admit. Not nearly as badass as Hiro and Peter's raid in 1x20 Five Years Gone, but that's what makes that episode my enduring favorite. Of course nothing's going to top that. The only thing I thought was a little weird was the Look Matt and Peter kept giving people they were mind-melding with... I understand it's necessary to show they were exerting power over them, but after the 6th or 7th Look it started to seem a little bit goofy.

Wow. Hel-lo, Alex. Seriously, why can't I find an Adonis who works in a comic book store and is totally sweet? Completely gratuitous bare chest scene, but... I'm not going to complain today. This week, I deserve it, and The Powers That Be were kind enough to grant me a shirtless Justin Baldoni. Who, by the way, is two years younger than me. I'm getting so old. Hot guys are all younger than me now! What is this??

Not sure I quite understand the bargaining of Matt and Daphne for the information Peter stole. If Peter went straight to the press with all of that, and said "Where are Matt Parkman and Daphne Milbrook?" they would have to be produced in very short order. He'd get them back and shut down Nathan's operation. I'm as confused as Nathan--why only ask for two people? Why give the information back that easily?

Glad Alex and Claire got away, and as cheesy as the kissing under water thing was, it was still cute, and I still like these two much more than her and West. What I don't understand is if Claire is having less and less pain with inflicted wounds, why not just let herself drown--once Alex pulls her out, she'd pop right back up.

Nathan's rescue of Peter was predictable, but still cool. I just can't believe Nathan still tries to sell his baby brother on the idea of a truce and being "taken care of" by him. Who in their right mind would want to go with Nathan when they know Nathan's people want them dead? Who would want to go back to being a vegetable with a tube in their nose? Are you kidding, Nathan, holding out a hand to Peter? Of course he was just going to take his power and leave. Obviously!

What was it that Angela whispered to Nathan? Did she tell him about the fact that the info had been leaked to the press? Or something else? And why didn't she tell him earlier? I thought she had to be asleep to get her prophetic dreams, and unless she was dosing off as her sons were hugging on that balcony, she would have known about the game changing awhile ago.

Why is Sylar so upset by the fact that his biodad killed his biomom? Sylar himself killed his adoptive mother! He finger painted in her blood! Pot calling the kettle black, much? Though I'm not really complaining about this side of Sylar--I'm glad he's back. "Why are you doing this to me?" "Because you're here and I need to express my feelings." Glad the kid has been finally ditched, though.

I was wondering how Matt could possibly end up strapped into a suicide bomber's vest! This Hunter guy is out of control. What did someone do to him to make him so vengeful against people with abilities? But in the meantime, quick! Somebody save Matt!

Puppet Man is back! Rebel seems to be sending everyone in need to either Claire or Peter, which makes me think whoever it is knows both of them very well. Which adds creedence to the theory that Rebel is Angela. Then again, as she said, she's not good enough with computers to be pulling this all off.

Bits and Pieces:

    * My campaign continues: please let Claire have the same short haircut as Hayden!
    * I love the continued use of the popped collar on Peter. Very nice.

Yeah that was pretty obvious. You'd think that the Petrelli family would have learned by now not to be so touchy feely.... Grin

But I don't think that Nathan knows that Peter's power has changed. Or he doesn't realize how it works now.

I thought Sylar killed Puppetman during the Primatech lockdown & cook-out? Also just because Angela said she's no good with computers doesn't mean she's no good with computers. she has been known to lie on occasion.

This episode was a relief to me, as well.  I was starting to lose hope, but this episode was a good indication of what this series once was and can be again.

I am of the opinion that Rebel could be HRG.  I never thought of Micah, to be honest, because he's been non-exisent.  This is a great way to bring him back, however.  He could be using computers to monitor things, but what's his motivation?  He's stuck in New Orleans and has no reason to be checking on everybody.  Another strong possibility is Hannah Geitelman (sp?) from season 1 and the online comics.  She is an omnipresent ethereal presence on any computer (her death in the comics indicated that her body was gone but her consciousness was still present).  In the back of my mind, I think it could also be Arthur.  I still think he's alive somewhere (after he was shot, the next scene in that same room indicated his body was gone and a trail of blood - from his head wound - leading away) and this could all be a manipulation thing he's doing under the "Rebel" name.  And let's not forget Claude.  Wasn't it hinted at he might return?  Or is he dead?

I thought the Washington DC explosion was a bit of a cop-out and I still do.  This is the event that must be avoided/prevented.  I get that, but can't they come up with something else?

Matt getting the "painting the future" ability is a bit confusing as well.  I don't know why it was important for him to get this power.  I thought the Spirit Walker dude gave Matt the power to map out his own destiny, but he's now painting stuff about Hiro as well?  I don't get it.  He needs to just stick with the mind controll stuff.  I did get a kick out him looking up at the camera and giving it the "What's up?" nod with that grin on his face.  Classic.  Cheesy

With all the talk about Peter and Hiro becoming "too powerful" why doesn't anyone say this of Sylar?  Hiro was powerful, but only if he wasn't too distracted.  And Peter was powerful, but had no common sense.  Sylar is powerful, has common sense and is a schemer.  He needs to be toned down a bit, even if the only powers he seems to be using at present are telekinesis and lie-detector (why hasn't he used that "knowing an object's history by touching it" power yet?).

I was a little confused with Puppetman returning, too, but it was kind of awesome and intense.  I thought he was killed by Sylar because Sylar seems to have his power, but Sylar no longer NEEDS to cut people open to get their powers anymore.

All that being said, I'm finally back to the point where I'm anxious to see what tonight's episode brings.  I used to watch it the night it aired (on my DVR), but lately I've been willing to wait and watch my other shows, which used to be put on the back-burner, first.  Not tonight  Wink
