So Clair is immortal. Apparently even cutting her head off will only disable her, not kill her. Sylar said she couldn't be killed, and since he's the one who knows how things work, I believe him. I was wondering how he managed to find Clair so quickly. One minute he's in New York, and the next he shows up at her house in California. Anybody have any ideas?

Yeah, I was kind of "wtf?!" about that too, but it supplied a GREAT eliment of Surprise. I'm guessing a LOT of time passes after Nathan gets shot, or maybe the times that each thing happened aren't as immediate was we thought. Furthermore, there are powers Sylar possesses we may not even know about, that he could have used to transport himself to California so fast, who knows? But I do think that Time is not how we percieve it between Season 2 & 3.

He maybe just took a plane.  Who knows how much time elapsed between the spinach scene and being in California?

I'm pretty sure there's not that much time between the seasons.  I mean, the episode begins with the press conference, which is exactly how the season ended.  Not sure how they're going to explain it.  my guess is they won't because it's kind of non issue.  We don't really need to know how he got there, we just need to know that he did and now he has her power.  But then again, it seems that Claire wasn't suppose to be in california in the first place, and FP messed it up, so maybe there will be an explaination.  Who knows?  All I know is I'm excited for this season and I'm so glad its starting out way stronger than Season 2!  I think they're going to make up for the injustice that was caused to us by the writers strike!

i like manderlin's explanation of him taking a plane.  as to how did he know that she was in california.  well, he did take a roadtrip across mexico in her car.  maybe there was still something in the car that identified claire and where she lived.

Plus, he had no problem finding her in odessa, so I dont think finding her in california would be a problem either.  We all know that sylar has a talent for tracking people down, so i dont think it would've been that hard for him to find out where she was.

as far as her being immortal, I dont know.  I think chopping of the head is the only way to kill her, but you cannot allow them to reattach, because if you do, then she'll be back to normal.  Maybe thats what he meant.  The body cannot live without the mind to quote the Matrix, and its the mind that controls the powers, so if you take away her mind from her body, it can't do what it needs to do.

So maybe it is immortality, but not in the way we traditionally think of it.

NO! Decapitation WILL kill her, Adam, Peter, and Sylar! Anything lodged in thier brains will kill them until removed, so...like zombies, chop off their heads!

This immortality, still breeds the question as to if Maya could kill healers like Claire, and Adam or if they would be immune, or come back to life...........Hmm just got another thought too. About Linderman if he's like Claire just with more time to evolve his powers kinda like Matt and his father having the same abilities with just more experiance.

hmmm...I wonder...that would be a good way to make her way more important to the overall story...I think maya is going to do something big...and I think we're gonna see claires powers develop, but not into something else...I think the fact that she doesn't feel pain is the first indication that something is changing in her.

Hmmmm...that's what crossed my mind too. What if it wasn't Sylar that took away Claire's ability to feel pain...but it was actually her powers 'evolving'? Similar to how Matt went from hearing minds to controlling them. And now, Claire's abilities are also changing/improving.

AND, if that's the cse, then what if Claire stops having 'feelings' altogether? What if she can no longer feel empathy or compassion as her next 'stage'? Hmmm...is this the beginning of future claire?

(Whew, sorry for all the air quotes...I feel like an old episode of 'friends' ;P)

if maya's disease power can be transferred from not only herself but from person to person, she could make Clair a never-ending carrier of the plague.

i think Clair's powers evolved to stop her from feeling pain. I think her lack of nerves and Sylar saying "Your different then any of them,Clair." is foreshadowing another leap in Clair's power that will set her as different then Adam Monro. Maybe she will be one of the first naturally dual-power heroes.

on the adam monroe idea...i can see it but he actually had emotion-hell, he held his hate for Hiro a very , very long time

yea. and you can kill them by drowning them.. well.. the maybe the second you pull them out of the water they might come back to life. but they would definently be dead.
