  I think her powers are interesting, and I hope to learn more about them in Season 3, like the range and if she can control it better.  But also, if they plan on doing any alternate/future episodes, It would be sweet to see her in that possible future as a bad a$$ villian.  I don't want her personally to be a villian, but I think it would be cool to glimpse at.  Any who, this topic is for Maya fans to discuss her abilities, and storyline.

Last season, we thought Alejandro was needed to counteract her black tears, but Sylar showed her she could control this herself.  It seems to be whenever she becomes upset she strangles everyone in a 100 ft radius.  (But her brother was immune....)  I think this season, she will learn to turn her power on and off at will.  She could use this power as a hero, although you can imagine some tragic side effects along the way.

But wasn't she supposed to get Mohinder to cure her with the neutralizing virus?  Another possibility, maybe Mohinder will extract a sample of her blood and learn how to replicate her power.

Yes she was on her way to find Mohinder.  Can't remember .. didn't she figure out that Sylar was bad and was trying to get away from him?

I love Maya so much. She is my most favorite character....She rocks. It would be okay to see her as a viliian, but just that, a "what if" scenario. I usually like baddies more than goodies, but I like Maya being good....

I just can't wait to see her when she has more control of her ability.  I hope she can learn to use it on a specific person at a time and not everyone in the area.

Anyone else get the feeling that Maya is essentially Ted without the physical damage? Just a thought I came up with a few seconds ago.

one question about that maya girl...um...A.  when did she become a hot s*xy hoochyfied Latina Princess? and B. WTF Happened to her accent?  Don't get me wrong, I couldn't stop staring at her the whole night (I"m in season 3 now btw), but I couldn't help but wonder how she just completely changed her character.  No complaints, especially if Mohinder keeps ripping off her clothing...aaaa...so hot....

I agree. In my opinion they've only kept her around so that Mohinder could make his big discovery. And let's face it, her power is pretty much useless. Unless you're a mass murderer.

I'm going to predict that Mohinder inadvertently kills her. Since he refused to heed her warnings, and gave into his greed; She's going to be proven right. But...ironically...it will lead to her death.

That's my theory, and I'm sticking to it....

I hope that she LIVES! The spoilers for this season said that she gets more powerful, so hopefully she will get that way. I love Maya! Like I did Isaac! They are my faves! (Elle too!)

  It's possible that Maya could use her powers to stop the Level 5 villians.  Seeing how her power is as dangerous or more then theirs.  Thus giving her more self-confidence in her own powers the want to keep them, realizing how much good she can do with them.  Instead of focusing on the destructive sides like how she is now.
