What power does Haitian have. I know he erases things from peoples minds. And he blocked Matt from listening to Clair's dad's thoughts. So what exactly is his powers?

it would seem that he can "block" powers... and somehow they tried to harness that to keep Sylar in his cage... guess it didn't work

yes, but the Hatian couldn't always be there... I had figured Claire's dad and the powers he worked for had figured out some technology that had duplicated the Hatian's powers

Maybe Eden shut down the power blocker when she walked in so she could use her powers on Sylar. She controlled him once, iIguess she had no reason to think she couldn't do it again. Of course, she surprised him the first time, so he didn't have time to resist, either.
