ok this is is prob kinda stupid but just wondering...
Sylar knows how things work that is his power, , when he kills he takes the power from the other person and absorbs it because he knows how its done (its his power he just steals other peoples)
but does that mean that the potential is there for every single hero to do the same (if they found out how to get the powers)Huh
can any of u guys tell me??

I would think that yes, the potential is there. In fact, that's why the company didn't kill him when they had Sylar in their custody, because they wanted to find out how he could steal someone else's power. I don't know if the process would work on a normal person, or if it would only work on someone who already had a power though.

I think yes it is possible, but the other heroes would have a more difficult time using and understanding the power. Sylar (since he can figure out how things work) knows atomatically how to use the power, and what it is capable of. If the other heroes tried his way of getting powers, they would have a harder time acessing the power and fullly controling it. Like Peter, for instance, in the begining, couldn't control his powers very well.

Well, thats my thoery on it anyway

Sylar is able to steal the powers of others because of his Intuitive Aptitude ability, which lets him know "how things work". You can tell this when Sylar encounters several evolved humans, such as the encounter with Peter, where he goes up to Peter and says "I'd like to know how that one works" (the line that signifies his I.A. ability is being used) and attempts to cut Peter's head open.

therefore the other Heroes can't do it unless they have empathy.
