there's a new video on hana's website that shows a recording of the explosion on november 8th, 2006.  it shows someone falling away from the explosion and just before they hit the ground someone else fly by and catch them.  did nathan catch peter, or did peter catch nathan.  i'm thinking that peter caught nathan.

I'm thinking it could be really either way. Nathan would have been injured (unable to fly), and Peter could have caught Nathan if he regenerated after he exploded, but Nathan may have caught Peter because Peter probably would have been too exhausted/stressed to use his flying abilities (from the explosion). Although the case that seems more plausible to me would be Nathan saving Peter, he could have let go of Peter so he could explode and return to catch Peter in time.

there are a few things that make me think that peter caught nathan.  one is that it looked like the falling person started falling away from the explosion while it was still happening.  also it looked like whoever was flying and caught the other was smoking.  another reason is that apparently nathan was pretty badly scarred/injured from the incident for awhile, and i don't think that he was capable of flying, i don't think that peter would have to regenerate from the explosion (i think that he just gave off the energy to create an explosion, but it didn't affect him, just like ted's powers never injured him) which would give him the time to be able to fly and catch nathan.  but in a few more days we'll know for sure

Silly me I neglected the fact that the explosion doesn't affect the user of the ability.

I agree with guaxini. I have seen in tv guide a picture of Peter carrying Nathan after the explosian and its not a pretty picture.
