When I first saw Nikki bust in and attack Mohinder and Bob, then the subsequent calm/friendly chat between Nikki and Mohinder, I had a hunch that Nikki was only pretending that Jessica still existed, after all, only she knows of that fact.  But the theory is weakened as I have no idea why Nikki would need to pretend.  Just my thoughts.

i dunno, i just had another idea.   i was just reading the brothers karamazov and apparently there is an odessa in russia, so maybe they said odessa to throw us off and make us think texas when they really meant odessa, russia.

There in Odessa, Ukraine.    The Hatain in "Kindness of Strangers" says it.    When he tells HRG that he has a lead on the paintings and says we need to go to Odessa, HRG replies "Texas?" and the Hatain answers "No Ukraine.   " It took me three goes to work this out, originally thinking he said "Their in a crate.   .   .   " I googled it and their is an Odessa in Ukraine (Thankyou Google).

Now to the episode:

The painting is obviously of Montreal and did anyone else notice the "Godsend" symbol above entrance door of the building that Peter and Caitlin where standing outside of.    Could that be the older generation's headquatres?

One of my personal, best parts of this episode?  No Maya and Alejandro!  YAY!!  Grin  Each scene change had me crossing my fingers, hoping it wouldn't switch to them.     Thank goodness.     I know a few people like them, but to me their a waste of story-line.     That may change, of course, but right now they bore me to tears.

Personally I really enjoy the Maya and Alejandro story line with Sylar, I would like to see where it goes as Heroes is not always as it seems.

Quote from: Save The World

And Peter's "Box"?  That turned out to be extremely anti-climactic, huh?  A passport, airplane ticket and money.     Hmmmm.   .   .    Big whoop.

As for this I wasn't expecting any thing else.    The Irish guy said it consisted of everything that was on Peter when they found him in the shipping container, what more do you expect other than a few bucks and an ID.    I doubt he would have carried around a diary with his life story on a trip to Montreal.    It was pretty much what I thought he would have on him.

As for Matt's Dad: I'm still not convinced that he is the killer of the older generation, I'm not too sure why.    However this leaves me with two choices of why he had Bob's photo:

1) He works for the company and he's been sent on a mission from Bob to find the killer.

2) He is spying on the company/Bob and stole the photo.

By the way his power is awesome, by making play out their own worst nightmare.

I did miss the Claire/West story line, it seemed to be going somewhere and was somewhat interesting to watch.

I have watched the preview for next weeks episode and two things really caught my attention:

1) There is a very quick shot of Kensei looking extremely angry and attacking what looks to be Hiro from behind.    I think there is more to this, but it still seemed interesting (ie.    maybe there is someone out of frame in front of Hiro and Kensei is saving him.   .   .   ).

2) It kind of looked like HRG was talking to Maury Parkman when he said "You know what I'm capable of" and in the next frame he shoots someone or something.    If this is true it means he not only has met Maury before but meets him again and that someone dies, I don't think he kills Maury.

All in all great episode, two thumbs up.

i think that he was probably talking to his russian mentor in odessa, ukraine

There in Odessa, Ukraine.    The Hatain in "Kindness of Strangers" says it.    When he tells HRG that he has a lead on the paintings and says we need to go to Odessa, HRG replies "Texas?" and the Hatain answers "No Ukraine.   " It took me three goes to work this out, originally thinking he said "Their in a crate.   .   .   " I googled it and their is an Odessa in Ukraine (Thankyou Google).
nice catch, i didn't notice that he said ukraine.  and that would make sense according to the book i was reading, since it takes place in the 1800s when odessa probably was part of russia.

Actually I thought the same thing. But I have this theory that Dl is really alive, and he and Nikki are planning on attacking the company from inside. I'll admit that I may be completely wrong, but that's my theory, and I'm sticking to it.... Grin

Best episode ever!  Cheesy  There is too much good stuff to say.  The best part was when Matts dad put the pair into a nightmare.  Hmm, kind of like Candace did but way cooler.

To whomever said France, nope the painting is of Montreal.  He has tickets to there.  Question is, who gave him the tickets and why. Huh And how did the company find out about him in that container?

The only thing I didnt like is Micah.  His constant smiling and laughing doesn't seem right, and is getting tiresome.  And his cousin better take a course on martial arts acting pretty quick.  Lips Sealed

I think laughter was good for Micah, after all he went through with his parents last season.  Wink

Where the Hell are HRG & Haitian > I thought he was going to Odessa??? And what the hell are they doing there. It's all very suspicious.

I have heard that they are in russia.

Apparently there was a place called "Odessa, Ukraine?" No idea, but we'll know soon. Cheesy

Still completely unimpressed by the Peter-in-Ireland storyline. Why in the world would he not open that box? It should've been locked, a crazy-hard padlock to open, something better than I-don't-want-to as a reason for putting off the moment of truth. The only interesting part of this whole storyline is the introduction of Kristen Bell's Elle. I love the destructive, offensive power--mostly we've had pretty benign abilities so far (whether they're used for good or evil is another story), but electricity is definitely not something to sneeze at. I love the firepower. Plus, I loved her on Veronica Mars (until the train wreck of a 3rd season came along...then again, that was not her fault at all). The thing is, I don't particularly care to see Peter and Elle face off when you know a Sylar-Elle match up would be much more entertaining, and most likely end in a pretty awesome and volatile partnership. (Assuming Sylar is still powerless and doesn't slice her head open, of course.) My favorite Elle moment was her phone call tantrum and pout-fest in the car. Nice little scene--tells us a lot about her character, and Kristen does it beautifully.

As oddly mushed together as Matt and Nathan were to start with, I quite like their partnership here. Matt, the sweet, sympathetic good guy with a brave streak, and Nathan, the slimy, opportunistic politician who's actually a complete pansy when push comes to shove. The way he hid behind a wall as Matt took down his father was hysterical. And the fight scene between the two of them later--inter cut with scenes from their nightmares--was very well done. Kudos to both of you.

Speaking of Parkman Sr., let me think a few things out here. He's been threatened by whoever is sending the death photos to the Older Powers, and he doesn't want to be on the grid or discovered at all, so he traps Matt and Nathan in their own nightmares and high tails it out of there? Then why did he have Bob's death threat? It's only logical that the killer would be the only one to have the next victim's death sentence in their possession, but if Parkman Sr. is the killer, why would he have made a threat for himself? And since when do fathers and sons (or any parents and offspring, for that matter) have similar powers? Is it just a coincidence that these two ended up with the same exact one? Because Nathan only had one child (Claire) with a power, and it wasn't flight, and his two sons don't seem to have any abilities at all. We still don't know Angela's power, but I don't think they'll have it be flight or Peter's ability to soak up others' powers. And the Niki/DL/Micah spread isn't similar at all, either.

Bits and Pieces:

    * Funny line: "Fine, we can probably get there faster. You know, because you can..." "I'm not a cargo jet, Parkman."
    * Great job casting Matt's dad. Good actor, looks like enough of a sleaze ball, and resembles Greg enough that the whole thing is very plausible.
    * Noah Gray Cabey can play the piano! Very cool. I love this kid.
    * Once again, I love Greg Grunberg's delivery of his lines--just in general. Very real.
    * And the boring Ando/scroll and Hiro/Kensei storyline continues. yawn
    * Boy, Mohinder is just a little malleable piece of clay. This guy gets an idea in his head and he just blindly starts off in that direction. Little bit dangerous, this half-cocked way of life. Someone needs to put a leash on this boy. His flip-flopping makes him a danger to himself and others.
