Do you think maybe it has something to do with his dreams? I'm pretty sure that he won't be able to fly; in that one flash of the next episode it showed him in a hospital bed. I'm thinking that he will be able to find other "supers" through his dreams, each dream expressing what there power is perhaps and showing him who they are? This is all wild speculation, but hey that’s what this is all about! Until we get answers from the show of course.

I think you might be on to something here.  Looks like his powers will have something to do with his dreams.

yeah, but what about the artist's painting of peter flying?!?  if that guy (sorry don't know his name yet) really can paint the future, then how would you interpret the picture?  was he just falling or something?  i don't know...but if he keeps seeing himself fly, then i think that he could fly.  it would make sense that both brothers have the same ability since they are related...

Peter can mimic other peoples abilities!  It seems he can only do it when he's close to the heroes.  If he could retain the power that would be awesome, but way overpowered.  It's nice to see Peter developing.  He accepts his power, like Hiro, making his character more likeable.  Still wondering how he gets his scar though!  Grin

Hey im knew to the site and nobody at school knows about this show so im glad i found you guys,

Like the post above me says, what i think is that Peter doesnt really have a power of his own and he is more like Rogue from Xmen and he can use whoever's power he is closes to

1.  he flew with his brother and couldnt do it when he was alone
2. He painted with Isaac  when he was in Isaac's appartment without shooting up or Isaac being high either

so i think he is copies others's powers and doesnt really have one of his own, like i said; kind of like Rogue from Xmen

i think that he can mimic the powers of people who has powers that are near him, but that will be too easy, right? I think he is a type of rouge. This show is mind boggiling in ways

peter's dream.. where he was with the guy he was taking care off... it was even said that he had the same dream before he died.. and that he flew WITH peter in it... peter is the key to all of this... and each hero is another piece of the lock... we shall see what happens.

This might be a stupid question, but can someone tell me Peter's age?  I think it might have been mentioned sometime since the show started, and I missed it.  Just curious.

I had heard somewhere else that he was 30 ... and to me, as well, it seems old.  He doesn't look 30 at all.  I figured mid to late 20s, but not thirty.

Well, he himself says that he mimics others' abilities.  I didn't see that coming at all.  I knew he painted when he was with the artist, but I still didn't put it all together until he told us in the show.  But I did see it coming in 'HomeComing' that if he's with Claire, he could heal himself, rather than actually die as the painting showed.
But I was also extremely disappointed that they didn't have more of a fight with Silar.  They just grazed over Silar's appearance.  When Peter sends Claire off to be safe, and he faces Silar, I was just waiting for Silar's abilities to kick into gear, and then the two of them would have a fight worthy of being in "Crouching Tiger; Hidden Dragon".  Flying all over the landscape, regenerating themselves from broken bones and gushing blood.  It would have been a fight truly great.  But Silar just shoves Peter and he nearly dies.  So boring and unexciting.  I was expecting great things for that episode, but it was almost anti-climactic.
But now that I know he adapts to other's powers, we can look forward to him being a pivotal character.  Especially when he races off to "save the cheerleader; save the world", without any thought of his own safety.  The sign of a true super hero.
