Well he has a name, Sylar. Too bad I know nothing else about him yet. Got this info from an interview with Greg Beeman, producer and hopefully Director of some episodes of Heroes. The interview took place with 9thwonders.com

9thwonders.com: "Is there a particular character that fascinated you that you'd like to know more about?"

G.B.: "Sylar, the bad guy. What's up with that evil *#@!?"

Beeman has done some great work on Smallville, and directed the pilot episode of Aquaman.

I think Sylar is the guy who cuts open people's brains? Huh They mentioned him at that crime scene in L.A., and what's up with the frozen guy? Anyways, I think the guy with the glasses is a government guy looking to stop people with superpowers because of what they've encountered with Sylar...

Yeah, Sylar and the glasses guy are different people.  Can't wait to see who this Sylar guy is.

all i know is that the guy with glasses is super creepy...what's up with him watching claire's video over and over?  he might not be 'sylar' but he is definitely a bad guy!!

Well, Claire is his adopted daughter. He now realizes (or has he suspected for a long time?) that Claire has superpowers. And if it's genetic (a possibility), then her biological mother and father might have them as well. His job seems to be to find those who have this ability and either kill, or study them (for what purpose, we're not sure)... so now he has to secretly find out more about Claire's ability as well as any hint of what Claire's Biological parents did.

I think he knew all along about claire, I also believe he either works for the government or a very powerful organization.

I think if he were Sylar then when he had the cop captured and helpless he wouldve removed his brain. Instead he cleaned him out and let him go.

bennet (claires father) isn't evil or bad.. why else would he drain that boy's memories in order to give him a "second chance" at life? WHY would he take matt... and only remove the memories of they're meeting.. WHY would he allow nathan to get away WHEN he had a gun? WHY would he allow his own daughter (claire) continue to live if he was evil? he's somebody who is watching them.. and studying them to see if they realize their powers... he's def. from an orginization.. BUT how is it HE knows more about the supers then even they themselves do?
