i've got a few:

1. the hummingbird has the ability to fly deliberately backwards, it's the only bird that can do this.
2. Most people when they think about school violence the first thing comes to mind is the Columbine shootings, but it's not the worst school Disaster, that belongs to the bath school disaster of May 18, 1927, which all started b/c some guy didn't want to pay the school taxes. http://home.nycap.rr.com/useless/bath/index.html is the link to the info if u want to know more about it.
3.the guy that invented Eveready batteries sold the compay so that he can play with his model trains, which may seem werid but it's the best thing that he says he ever did!
4.pickles can light up like a light bulb when they are cooking!
5.s.o.s pads where first made as giveaways to make people buy more pots and pans, but they became a bigger seller then the pots and pans themself.
6. if it wasn't for Listerine there never would have been band-aids.

Cockroaches have lived unchanged for more than 320 million years. They are among the oldest fossil insects and are also among the most primitive living, winged insects. If a nuclear war broke out cockroaches would be the only living creatures to survive.
