he's awsome, i want to be him for halloween, he's my fav. character. he has a cool power. hes japanese wich japan is awsome, hes my hero. and i wonder why i like him more than any other character... is there any other reason why he's cool?

Hiro is awesome because of his ability to teleport through time, as well as controlling the same.  I thought, in the episode: "Hiros," that the writers were in error, having Hiro come from the future and talking to Peter on the train.  When Hiro told Peter that he took a chance coming there, I felt at ease with this part of that particular episode.  You see, the same matter cannot occupy the same space at the same time.  If future Hiro would run into his present self, the result might be catastrophic.

I think what makes him so lovable is he's more real then the other characters.. he's hell bent on keeping things down to earth and "saving the world" thus far he's the only one trying to use his powers for the ultimate good.. he even felt bad when he cheated at the casino!

The reason he's so adorable and intriguing as a character is that he's enjoying life!!  Whether it's about his star trek, star wars, or comic books, he's enjoying his life.  He has lots of fun with it.  Lots of the other characters are so down and deep in their trudging thru their lives, that when the story goes back to Hiro, we are so eager and anxious to see him again, because he's a fun guy.  He's not so downtrodden in his perceptions of his life.
Do we like to be with people who are down and depressing?  NO!!  Everyone is usually attracted to people who are positive and energetic/energized.  A smile truly does attract more than a frown.
Plus as was mentioned before hand, he's the first one to realize he has a power and is eager to use it.  And we're anxious to see him use it wisely and effectively.

I love him to death because just watching him makes me smile lol. He knows what he has to do and he's just so amusing, friendly, and positive all the time. Plus...he has a sword (will, anyway. haha)

I like him due to the fact he acts just like any comic book reading geek would act (I should know) if they discovered that they had an exceptional ability or powers.  This is very obvious when he learned of the sword and instead of reflecting on what catastrophy might incure that he'll need the sword, he focused on the "how cool would it be" to have a sword.  Thus as other's have stated, he's the more realistic charecter.

i like hero because of his idea of wat a hero should be. he gets his power and immediately he looks for a purpose and sticks to that. he doesnt get sidetracked (altho ando might hav caused a few) and his heart is set on trying to make a difference (even when his family is against him). he might not hav everything working for him at the moment, and its so sad he chose to continue the quest alone, but i'm sure there'll come a time in the near future when hiro will come to shine again

Hiro is a great character and was my favorite at the beginning of the show but I have to say that Mat is my favorite now. Especially since the episode when he fought Nikki (One of the best episode so far). The fight scene with Nikki was great. He can be very creative with his powers. I never thought he could be such a good action Hero with those powers.
Peter is another character who is getting really interesting. He could possibly be the strongest hero without a question. I could see him been the one that defeats Sylar. Anyway, I lost a lot of “respect” for Hiro the day he “lost” his abilities and went on the search for his sword. Made him too vulnerable. I am sure that he will mature and become a much stronger hero but it will never be the same for me.

same for me. except this is a thread on hiro being awesome..so i didnt mention the whole trail of peter compliments i had lined up 

actually when hiro lost his powers, it was kind of discouraging..but i dunno. i think he'll still grow into that awesome ninja looking future hiro that we saw, then all hats off for him

The reason, IMO, everyone likes Hiro b/c he's the life of the show. He's the one everyone wants to be.
