Hey everyone!  We've been working on lots of new features for the website and one of them is contests!  Where you can win cool prizes for free!  Now we just need the communites thoughts on how this should be handled.  Here's some questions for ya'll:

1.  Contest Entry (choose one)
(a) Anyone can enter a contest, and each person has an equal chance of winning.
(b) Entrants use points (gained by posting, helping the site, etc.) to buy tickets in a "lottery" drawing, resulting in better chances for active members.

2.  Prize Availability (choose one)
(a) ONE grand prize per contest (For example - [1] $50 winner)
(b) Several smaller prizes per contest (For example - [5] $10 winners)
(Money will NOT be a prize; only used as an example!)

Once we have enough answers we'll let you know more details.  So the faster you participate in this survey the faster you can win prizes!    If you have any other suggestions for contests, we're all ears.

i agree TRu!  contests sound fun but keeping track of points would be really tiresome on your end.  maybe you should just do a weekly poll and everyone who answers is entered for a chance to win?  just an idea....OR, you could even ask a question regarding the latest heroes episode to see who is watching out for details that would be fun!!

The point system is automated.  It's a mod for the forum.  So I won't have to do anything with points.

I think that those of us that spend a lot of time on the site should have a little bit of an unfair advangtage. No offense to people that don't like to post.

Ok so here's my thought on your whole contests that your going to hold. I agree that all people should have an equal opportunity to enter in the contests but I also think that people who have a genuine interest in the show and follow along each week, which at this point is about 13 million...lol, should also have a better chance of winning which is why i propose rather than just pulling a name out of a hat for the people entering, make it a real contest with trivia that only true fans that hold on to every moment on the show would be able to answer, this will separate the fans and just the lucky people who just happen to stumble upon the website and get lucky. I hope my advice comes in handy and I can't wait to see what you guys are coming up with next!!

AT LEAST THAT'S WHAT MAKES SENSE TO ME, MAKES EVEN NEW PEOPLE FEEL LIKE THEY CAN GET INVOLVED, AND HAVE A CHANCE TO WIN SOMETHING, AND GIVES MORE PEOPLE A CHANCE TO WIN, WHICH EVEN IF IT'S A SMALLER PRIZE, THEY WILL ENJOY IT, AND WANT TO GET MORE INVOLVED IN THE WEB SITE.
