What a TRULY disappointing season premiere after all the hype how it was going to be much better than last year’s lackluster season. It boggles my mind how a show with a premise that can lead to multiple fascinating storyline continues to miss the boat entirely with direction.

The Sylar/Claire interactions. I found this to be really well done. I don’t exactly know what it is, but Sylar seems awfully…attached to Claire. Not in a creepy “I want her” sort of way. It’s just how he acts. For a guy who just invaded her home and took her ability after cutting her head open, he seemed very sincere. The final moment between the two is great. Sylar brings her the top of her head so she can heal it back on. Claire then asks why Sylar didn’t kill her, and he says something to the extent of, “Even if I could, I wouldn’t.” He also called her “special” and not like the rest of them. Of course there was that one d-bag move where he took away her ability to feel. That wasn’t very kind.

This was the most awesome two hours of television I’ve seen play out live in a long time. I’m so proud of them! And at the same time, very disappointed. There was so much in these first two episodes that it feels as if I over ate… it was too much. This show went from being too slow in the first half of the first season to being fabulous in the second half, to sucking big time in the second season, and now I’m afraid they’re cramming every single second full of Heroes-y goodness this season to try to win people back and apologize. Unfortunately, it can get a little busy.
